Our elected officials were happily slaughtering tens of thousands of Vietnamese and American citizens for profit... in the name of "democracy"... when I was in high school, and Country Joe McDonald wrote a tune "Feel Like I'm Fixin' To Die Rag". Well, they're at it again, this time in Iraq, and I updated the story. I think all of those honorable individuals who enlisted in the armed forces to "serve and protect" then got sent to Iraq have been railroaded into an impossible job for all the wrong reasons by a bunch of despicable treacherous thugs. I have a friend who's in presently serving in Baghdad. and another who was in the Persian Gulf at the beginning of this awful thing. I wish them nothing but the best and hope for their safe return. The sacrifices made by these soldiers and their families have been enormous. But I detest the great criminals (mass murderers) like George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld who periodically invent a perverted version of "patriotism" in order to loot and pillage for their own personal gain. These white-collar corporate criminals have made NO personal sacrifices, and have undoubtedly profited from the sacrifice of others. Does anybody believe that Dick Cheney is not profiting from Haliburton's contracts to supply the troops and "re-build" Iraq? Or that Bush's "investments in the "defense industries" aren't returning big bucks?

George W. Bush needs a helpin hand
He got us all in a terrible jam
Way down yonder near Afghanistan
If you'll join the Marines, he'll loan you a gun
You're gonna have a whole lot of fun

And it's 1-2-3 what are we fightin for?
Old King George he don't give a damn
His kids will never have to fight the Taleban
And it's 5-6-7 open up the pearly gates
George W. Bush is livin' high sendin other people's kids off to die..

He said we had to stop Saddam
From killin us all with a nuclear bomb
Said he's seen the proof with his own eyes
Now everybody knows it was a pack of lies
"Mission accomplished" was what the fool claimed
Now there's thousands dead, dyin and maimed

George Bush and Dick Cheney did not move slow
They said "This is war a-go-go
There's lots of good money to be made
Supplyin the Army with the tools of the trade
If they could make a nickel on a bomb
I bet they'd drop it on my Dad and Mom

Takes a five week vacation goes ridin his bike
And tells the grieving families "go take a hike"
Sits on his porch sippin iced lemonade
While the troops in Iraq can't even find any shade
They're fightin his war, with no end in sight
And the commander in chief is out riding his bike

So come on Mothers across this land
Send your sons to give George a hand
Come on Daddy don't hesitate
Tell your daughter to enlist before it's too late
You can be the first ones one the block
To have your kids shipped home in a box
